Embracing a Year of Growth: Welcome 2025
2 January 2025
Chris Stock, Managing Director at Inforlogic, explains why 2025 is set to be a record year, with an expanded team, a plethora of new customers and a pipeline of exciting projects ahead.
2024 was another tumultuous year for UK manufacturing. In addition to ongoing supply chain and skills-related challenges, a change in government and the announcement of the much-welcome Industrial Strategy.
Reflecting on a hectic 12 months at Inforlogic, it’s fair to say that 2025 is set to be one of our best years yet. Having celebrated our 10th anniversary in 2023, the Inforlogic team continues to grow in both numbers and experience, and they are a fantastic bunch of people that I’m very proud of.
2024 saw us launch our updated website to help showcase these success stories alongside our core services and capabilities, and provide insights into what’s new both with Inforlogic and with Infor SyteLine as a solution.
We were lucky enough to hear from many Infor executives at its annual user conference in the Summer. In addition to learning more about Infor’s long-term roadmap for the platform, which involves some really exciting new functionality in development, particularly around AI and RPA, it was great to catch up with customers old and new.
We welcomed new customers in a range of sectors—from beverage and soft drinks bottling company Norbev to precast concrete manufacturer Moore Concrete, which has already gone live with the first phase of a major transformation. Both of these add to our growing customer base in Northern Ireland.
We also delivered record numbers of new projects to existing customers, with a rising number of long-standing users upgrading their system to the Infor Cloud, an increasing trend. With turnover and headcount increasing year on year, as well as an ever-busier helpdesk, which ensures our customers have access to our bespoke support service as and when needed. Because this capability can be scaled up or down, it helps keep costs down for internal IT departments, allowing services to be used only when needed, bringing all-important flexibility.
In 2024, we published many customer success stories as a testament to our team’s dedication to ensuring our customers continually optimise and expand value from Infor SyteLine. The breadth of manufacturing industries and the respective challenges Infor SyteLine supports never cease to fascinate me.
Plastic moulding company Denroy, for example, leaned on Syteline to diversify its business completely in response to the pandemic. With demand in its aerospace division dropping, demand for PPE soaring, and the fulfilment model for its haircare operation moving solely online, it had to channel substantial agility to mitigate risk and embrace opportunities. With our support, they could achieve this and adjust as the markets revert.
Bioprocessing product manufacturer Sanisure faced challenges in supporting a more global footprint to aid expansion. Having worked with an alternative partner, Inforlogic was brought in to replace them based on its experience and track record of similar projects. Because our consultants have such deep industry knowledge, we were able to deliver a seamless roll-out and minimise any business disruption.
We continue to see more customers migrate to the cloud and capitalise on Syteline’s AI capabilities. Forklift manufacturer Combilift is demonstrating incredible AI-led ROI via revenue increases, cost reductions, and improved automation and productivity.
Success StoriesOur customer successes are only made possible by the outstanding people we have. What drives us is seeing everyone’s contribution recognised and our people come together to form part of a fantastic working environment and culture across the business. Our customers tell us time and time again how wonderful our people are. Our most recent recruit comes directly from one of the UK’s oldest names in manufacturing, further reinforcing our ‘industry-first’ reputation.
As ever, we took time out at the end of the year to celebrate our Christmas get-together, which saw Crystal Maze challenges test us all and highlighted the diverse range of skills we have across the team!
Looking ahead to the next 12 months, I’m proud and excited to see what’s in the pipeline. With a genuinely brilliant team of people and a track record of customer successes, we’re looking forward to helping more manufacturers to digitally transform, drive greater automation and intelligence in their quest for market share, and support their respective journeys.
Here’s hoping it’s a productive and enjoyable one. I wish all of our team, partners, and customers a productive, successful, and enjoyable 2025.
