2022: A cloud-shaped year for manufacturing

Chris Stock looks back on some of the successes that 2022 brought with it, and points to an exciting year ahead for ERP in manufacturing.
With cloud spending continuing to increase year on year, it’s perhaps no surprise that 2022 signified the first year in which every net new deal for Inforlogic, was cloud-shaped.
We’ve seen significant investment in ERP from our manufacturing customer base, with four out of five existing customers looking at moving to the cloud in recognition of the value of being on the latest technology in a flexible and scalable model.
Working closely with Infor, we’re speaking to more and more customers who are embracing the visibility, and insight-led, fast-paced decision-making, which Infor CloudSuite Industrial facilitates. In a world where agility and resilience have become prerequisites rather than peripheral attributes, manufacturers are moving away from their legacy on-premise systems, and recognising the benefits of cloud ERP as part of their journey into a new era where change is the only real constant.
As part of this mind shift, many customers are capitalising on the flexibility of our support, expertise and skills in making the transition to cloud, often bridging their own skills shortages through leveraging our consultancy team.
With extensive amounts of end-user experience, and an incredibly high level of technology and project management expertise within our team, customers are able to benefit from the best of both worlds. They have access to this expertise, but without the overheads, and can scale this support up or down as business demands dictate.
Testament to this demand is that we’ve increased our team by a further three consultants, and reported a record turnover which we’re incredibly proud of.
2023 sees us celebrate 10 years and what a decade it has been. We’re excited to see more and more of our customers move to the cloud, supported by our fantastic team.
