How much does an Infor ERP solution cost?

The cost of implementing our technology will vary from project to project. Software licenses can be bought outright or rented monthly on a SaaS (Software as a service) basis. Because every business is different, so is every solution and our offerings can be tailored to suit the requirements of our customers.

The quickest and most accurate way to understand the costs for your business is to contact a specialist software supplier, like us. Get in touch or call 01606 720499 to speak to a member of our team today.

What payment options do you offer?

There are many ways to pay for the solutions and services that we offer, these are outlined below:

  • Perpetual license
Acquired up front by the customer who then has full ownership, a yearly support and maintenance fee is then paid annually from the date of signing the contract.
  • SaaS license
SaaS is a method of software delivery and licensing where the software is accessed online via a subscription, hosted by Infor on the world class AWS platform, rather the procured up-front. SaaS agreements are typically signed for 60 months with the payments made yearly in advance.
  • Services payment
Our consultancy services are typically billed monthly against time worked that month against the agreed budget.
  • Financing
Through our financing partners we can offer packages whereby perpetual licensees, yearly support and maintenance and services (as an example) can be bundled up over say a 3-year period and paid as a flat monthly cost. This appeals to our customers as the initial outlay is not high and the benefits of the system are realised before they have paid for the system in full.

Why do we need help implementing an ERP system?

You can buy the best software available, but that is not enough to ensure success for your business.  If it is not implemented properly and efficiently it can have long term damaging effects on your business.

This is where we come in and add value, utilising our many years Infor experience and following a well-defined methodology based on the Infor Deployment Method, we ensure a successful project.

How do you ensure an ERP implementation is based on best practice?

Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine) is based on industry best practice with deep last mile functionality.  During a series of workshops our team walk through the core business processes in the system with the aim of adopting as much of the industry standard process flows as possible.  In our experience this is a large percentage based on the standard functionality in the product.

Can our existing data be migrated to a new ERP system?

Yes, it can. Almost every project we undertake involves the migration of data from a legacy ERP system to a new solution. Thanks to our experience in working with Infor applications, we can make the migration of large amounts of data, a pain free task, either providing you with the tools to undertake the task or carrying it out for you at additional cost.

How long will it take to implement a new system?

The length of a system implementation can depend on many factors, for example:

  • Number of users
  • Functionality/modules being implemented
  • Number of separate sites/countries involved

Our expert team will work collaboratively with you to agree the project scope, requirements and deadlines so you will have a pre-agreed understanding of the project timeline.

The benefits of the software that we provide are that it can be deployed in multiple ways and we look to ensure the best platform is chosen for the customer. These options are outlined below:

Hosted by Infor on the world class AWS platform and accessed securely and remotely by the customer. The benefits of SaaS are that the whole management of the technology and the application full under the responsibility of Infor.
  • On Premise
Hosted by the customer either at their site or data centre.
  • Hosted

  • Hybrid
This option is becoming more common and involves part of the application being hosted on-premise and part in the cloud.

How many locations/businesses can an enterprise system cover?

Our systems are scalable and flexible, and there are no limits to the locations and entities that they can cover.

What is the cloud?

The cloud is technical term used to refer to services and software that operate via the internet instead of locally on your computer or hosted on your site. You may already be familiar with some everyday cloud-based services such as Netflix, Google Drive, Dropbox, Apple i-Cloud, Microsoft OneDrive and Spotify.

Can I see my data in real-time?

Yes, you can.  The insights that are tools allow you to see real time data either on intuitive dashboards or real time reports.  This information can also be pushed proactively to you, so that you do not have to go in search of it.

How do we prepare for installation?

There are many ways to prepare for a project of this nature and we have highlighted a few points to consider below. We always discuss and agree on everything that is required for a successful implementation before we start any project.

  • Executive support
Without support at executive C level any project is doomed to fail. The executive team needs to understand and have ideally written the business case to move to a new system and are fully in support of it. A project sponsor should be allocated who becomes the go to person at a high level should anything need review or escalation.
  • Define KPI’s
Consider the points that will see the system considered a success post implementation. Define what outputs the business expects to see from the system.
  • Key user team
Define who the key users to be involved from the business will be. As an implementation partner we would then work with you to confirm the involvement we need with this key team over the course of the project.  You may need to consider back filling in certain areas.  Critical to this team is a strong project manager who will be responsible for the delivery of the project from the business side.
  • Define the scope
A key part of the pre-sales process form our side (link to customer journey here) is to define the scope of the project. This is driven from the discovery sessions we will have held and final discussion during and around the software demonstrations.  This scope document defines the expectations of us a supplier and ultimately forms part of the contract.
  • Align business processes
Start to think about aligning business processes. An implementation of any kind should not be seen as a way to replicate everything that is done now.  Give thought to current areas that can be improved, look to take onboard best practice embedded into many modern systems and look to embrace this.  See technology as an enabler as opposed to a threat.
  • Data migration
The migration of data can cause delays to any project if not considered early in the process. This can often start before any project gets under way.  Give though to the amount of data you would like to bring across.  Look to start cleansing some of that data in advance, customer and suppliers are often classic examples, where records are duplicated in legacy systems or not been used for a long period of time.

Can we integrate with other software?

Yes, the Infor technology platform easily allows integration to 3rd party systems.  In recent projects, we have integrated Label Printing Software, PLM and MES systems.

Do you offer Infor support?

Yes, we offer a helpdesk service to supplement the support from Infor as part of their standard support contract.  This has become a popular service for current users, and our team has become an extension of internal teams to provide value add support.
