Having consolidated and sold off a number of its business units, CAV became an independent business in 2015, and has been supported by Baird Capital since 2017. With new investment and global resources CAV is now driving the business’ growth and innovation strategy forward to further penetrate and cement its leading position as a tier 1 supplier in the aviation and aerospace markets.
CAV’s independent status saw the company reduce its global sites from 11 to just three and consequently CAV reviewed the performance of all of its back office systems. Following an evaluation of requirements, a decision was made to upgrade to the current version of Infor CloudSuite Industrial via business software consultancy Inforlogic.
Having used Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine) for many years, CAV had every confidence that it was the right solution but needed a modern platform and new capabilities to support a shift in the business. The upgrade to the latest version was designed to capitalise on new functionality built on robust modern infrastructure.

The nature of the aerospace industry means that many projects which CAV is involved in are collaborative and complex in nature, spanning Government agencies, aircraft owners and OEMs. The robust project management capabilities in Infor CloudSuite Industrial, which include granular tracking of objectives, costs and inventory, are imperative as a means of demonstrating visibility and fostering communication. Integrated with a dedicated quality control solution to optimise standards, the solution also supports regulatory requirements and compliance efficiently.
In parallel, the CRM module is supporting CAV’s customer focus, in particular for aircraft aftermarket, facilitating enhanced relationship management and customer visibility.
