Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine) delivers real-time intelligence, dynamic planning and visibility for Northern Ireland-based bottle manufacturer, Beverage Plastics.
Inforlogic today announced that Beverage Plastics has selected Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine). The platform will support a modernisation programme, delivering dynamic planning, intelligence and scale for the plastic bottle manufacturer. Following a successful pilot phase, the project is scheduled for completion in August 2025.
Having been using SAP as part of a mandate by its parent company, Beverage Plastics, which produces preform, blown bottles and closures, selected Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine) following a review of the market. With experience of using Infor SyteLine previously, the decision was initially based on a familiarity with the system and confidence that it would support the bottling leader’s complex manufacturing processes. A reference site visit to a manufacturing peer, Norbev, who is in the throes of a digital transformation project underpinned by CSI and Inforlogic, reinforced the decision.
Anticipated benefits include vast efficiency savings through automation improvements and digital records and greater intelligence from which to inform planning, as Beverage Plastics’ Shirley Dew explains.
“Infor CloudSuite Industrial will replace manual, spreadsheet-based production planning for us, which in turn will reduce risk and eliminate inaccuracies. The increased visibility, control, and real-time intelligence that comes with having dynamic intelligence is set to bring huge benefits. Because patterns can be tracked and anomalies spotted, the best decisions can be channelled to optimise production.”
The deployment will also see stock and customer experience improvements according to Shirley: “Previously our raw materials were managed in Excel, but the MRP capabilities in CloudSuite Industrial will support a live view of raw materials inventory, managing the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) stock levels, which are the predominant component of our BoMs, to support production.”
“Our stock system for finished goods will be live 24/7 as opposed to our previous one which was a day behind. This dynamic visibility will not only bring efficiencies but minimise mis-picks and ensure supply is commensurate with demand. It will also allow us to better accommodate any last-minute requests, bringing greater value and flexibility to our customers.”
